Planning the New North

Lesley Cabott, MCIP, RPP is a Professional Planner with over twenty-five years of experience working with communities, governments, first nations, businesses, utilities and non-government organizations planning for sustainable futures across the north.  Lesley began her planning career working with the Inuvialuit in Tuktoyaktyuk as they were transitioning from a traditional economy to a wage earning economy in the late 1980's. 

In 2009 and 2010 she carried out research for the Yukon Research Institute and International Polar Year, which examined planning for resilient and sustainable communities in the North. Lesley recently completed a review of regional planning across Canada with the lens of regional planning for success.
