Stantec Consulting has been hired by the Yukon Land Use Planning Council to review the Dawson
Recommended Plan that has been produced by the Dawson Regional Planning
Commission.
This work will be used to inform YLUPC’s formal submission to the Parties on the
Recommended Plan. It is important that this review assesses the approach to planning and
includes suggestions for plan modifications.
The Recommended Plan has been delivered to the Parties (Government of Yukon, Tr’ondëk
Hwëch’in) and Affected First Nations (Na-cho Nyak Dun and Vuntut Gwitchin). The Parties
are required to undertake community consultation on the plan before they make a
decision whether to approve, modify or reject the plan.
