Supporting treaty-informed regional planning in the Yukon.
Featured Region: Dawson
On March 31, 2026, the Dawson Commission presented the Tr'ondëk Hwëch'in Government and Yukon Government with their Final Recommended Plan. These governments will now consider the plan, consult on the plan, and hopefully approve and implement it.
“The Final Recommended Plan presents the Commission’s best advice for the region’s future, grounded in what was heard from the Parties and the community.”

Traditional Knowledge Circle
The TK Circle brings together Indigenous knowledge holders, planners, and community representatives to ensure that traditional knowledge is meaningfully integrated into regional land use planning. This initiative supports culturally respectful approaches to stewardship and strengthens the link between planning processes and Indigenous worldviews.
Our work is guided by Chapter 11 of the Umbrella Final Agreement, which establishes a process for developing land use plans that apply to both settlement and non-settlement land.
