The Council recognizes and mourns the passing of Patrick James, on October 12, 2024. Patrick was a respected Carcross/Tagish Tlingit Elder and was an important member of the Council between 1995 and 2001. Patrick was also a member of the Council’s Indigenous Planning and Traditional Knowledge committee between 2020 and 2023.
