“The Dawson Regional Land Use Plan is in its final stages of development. The planning team continues to work closely with Yukon First Nations, the Government of Yukon, and local communities to finalize recommendations. Community engagement remains at the core of the process, ensuring that the plan reflects regional priorities, cultural values, and long-term sustainability goals.”

Traditional Knowledge Circle
The TK Circle brings together Indigenous knowledge holders, planners, and community representatives to ensure that traditional knowledge is meaningfully integrated into regional land use planning. This initiative supports culturally respectful approaches to stewardship and strengthens the link between planning processes and Indigenous worldviews.
Our work is guided by Chapter 11 of the Umbrella Final Agreement, which establishes a process for developing land use plans that apply to both settlement and non-settlement land.
